Decal Industry Standard
Decals are textures projected onto surfaces to add details like dirt, damage, bullet holes or labels, without altering the underlying material or geometry; a technique used in 3D since the 1990s.
Say you wanted to do that in Blender, how do you go on about it? There isn't a default function that allows that, so you'd have to use imprecise and creative measure that take many steps and find many limits.
Our addon makes all this possible:
Because of the shader-type system, you can bake said decals into your textures, for which our texture-baking tool Easy Bake 2 does a tremendous job - https://inlet.gumroad.com/l/easy-bake-2
But what about normal maps? You can blend them too, of the targeted surface and the decal.
